Turning 22! ...3 times!

Sooo, this year, I had 3 birthday celebrations in total! It was really one of my best birthdays!

I was touring Europe, for my annual family trip. It so happened that during my birthday, I was in Italy, so I got a Tiramisu instead of a cake. And I got to have my birthday dinner in an authentic Italian restaurant! We had just finished our dinner when the waiters started singing in Italian! And a Tiramisu, kind of short-cake came towards me!
I got to tour Europe AND have my birthday celebrated over there! Thank you, mi familia!

It was just a casual night out with my Uni-mates, Vicky, Ruba and Nick. We had not seen Vicky in many months and it was time for a meet-up/gossip session. So we went to 'Upstairs Cafe', because they have the absolute best desserts there!

So we went there for dinner/dessert and we each ordered our food individually. I wanted to order cake, but they kept stopping me, and I did not suspect anything. Suddenly the cake came to our table and they all started singing the birthday song and I wasn't sure who it was for and therefore I started singing too!

About 2 months later, my buddies planned a belated birthday surprise for me! I knew it was my best'est girlfriend, Val who planned the surprise, cause few weeks before I went home, she and I were gossiping and I joked with her that they should plan a party for me. We both took it as a joke, but I guess she didn't.

Over the next few days, she kept WhatsApp'ing me to ask when will I be going home to JB, and I did not think much of it until one Sunday we planned to meet up, so we dined at 'Thai Express'. Our first time. As we were chatting, I suddenly heard a bunch of people singing the birthday song, and my first thought was, why is it suddenly so noisy, but as I turned my head, I saw my other best buds! Sacha, Kiara, Andrew and Ryan! The girls were holding a cake with a candle on it and it was for me!

They continued singing the birthday song and I was honestly quite shy and very surprised.It was a very heartwarming surprise! Part of my gang came, but the whole of my gang knew about the surprise. Those that could not make it, WhatsApp'ed me with lots of huggs and kisses.
